Play Tower Defense online
Enemies walk a fixed path, you build beside it. Arrow towers fire fast, cannons hit several at once, frost towers slow them down. Every wave brings tougher enemies and more gold – and every leak costs a life.

Where Tower Defense comes from
The genre grew out of custom maps for Warcraft III and StarCraft around 2002, with roots reaching back to Atari's arcade game Rampart (1990). Desktop Tower Defense turned it into a browser phenomenon in 2007, soon followed by Bloons TD and Plants vs. Zombies. The principle has not changed: a fixed path, limited gold, and the question of whether to upgrade or build wide.
How it works
Goal
Stop the balloons. Every one that gets through costs lives – a blimp costs five. When the lives run out, the base is destroyed.
Building
Pick a tower below, then click a free tile. You cannot build on the path, and only the gunboat and submarine belong on water.
Upgrading
Click a built tower. Every tower has two upgrade paths with three steps each. You may buy both – but only one may reach step 3.
Money
Every balloon popped pays out, and every wave survived gives a bonus. The gold mine and the bank earn gold without fighting at all.
Maps
The shop unlocks more maps – each with its own landscape and route.
Three tips for better results
- 1Build on corners: enemies stay in range far longer there than on a straight.
- 2One upgraded tower almost always beats two cheap ones – damage rises faster than price.
- 3Frost pays off early: slower enemies give every other tower more shots.
