Play Mini Golf online
Nine individual holes, each with its own trick: rails to play off, sand that slows you, water that costs a stroke. Direction and power are set in one motion. Par is marked on every hole, and an ace is possible on all of them.

Where Mini Golf comes from
The origin lies with the Ladies' Putting Club at St Andrews in 1867, where women were only allowed to putt. The first dedicated miniature golf course was built in North Carolina in 1916 under the name Thistle Dhu. In Europe the Swiss designer Paul Bongni introduced the standardised concrete lanes from 1953 that you still find at almost every public pool.
How it works
Goal
Nine holes in as few strokes as possible. Under par is good, over par costs you points.
Playing a stroke
Drag away from the ball with the mouse and let go – like a slingshot. The farther you pull, the harder the hit. The coloured arrow shows aim and power.
The course
Rails – the ball bounces. Banking shots is part of the game. Sand – the ball slows down fast. Water – one penalty stroke and back to the tee. Moving barriers – wait for the gap.
Points
Each hole: par minus strokes, times 100. A hole-in-one pays extra. After ten strokes on one hole the game moves on for you.
Three tips for better results
- 1Play off the rail rather than around it – the angle is more predictable than the long way.
- 2Less power, more control: a short stroke by the hole beats a long one past it.
- 3Remember where the sand is; once you are in it, it almost always costs an extra stroke.
